Microsoft's Gates Says Vietnam May Become an Outsourcing Center |

TAKEAWAY: First, Intel announced it would build a new semiconductor plant in Vietnam, and now Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates is acknowledging the bright future of Vietnam, saying that it has the potential to develop as an outsourcing center on par with India. In fact, during his recent visit to Vietnam, Gates made it clear that, as promising as Intel's plans are for Vietnam, the country shouldn't confine itself to the manufacturing arena, but instead should push into the software development, call center and outsourcing markets as well. To succeed in those markets on the level that Gates' suggest, Vietnam will have to curb its rampant property rights infringement issues. |
